Since lockdown I have taken part in group drawing sessions with friends who are based in France and Japan. The idea is to link each of our drawings up to make a long drawing. It sometimes links up well sometimes not! But it’s just a bit of fun and good to practice drawing. So here are the illustrations I have done over the course of a few weeks. Etegami is a Japanese art form consisting of simple sumi ink drawings with a few words and watercolour. The name comes from the Japanese word 絵 (picture) 手紙 (letter – the kind you post to someone). These are usually sent to someone as a postcard.
